1. Data controller

  • Controller: Casei Dei, CIF pending…
  • Address: (Badajoz), Spain
  • Contact: hola(at)caseidei.com

This policy describes how personal data is processed on caseidei.com under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 (LOPDGDD).

2. What data we process and why

a) Browsing data

The server hosting the Site automatically records technical data (IP address, date and time, requested page, browser) in its access logs, solely to ensure security and proper operation. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

b) Analytics (Google Analytics 4)

We use Google Analytics 4, by Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC, to understand in aggregate how the Site is used (pages visited, traffic source, device type). GA4 uses identifiers and cookies and is not activated until the user consents through the cookie banner. Legal basis: consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), revocable at any time from the banner.

c) Advertising (Google AdSense)

The Site may display ads served by Google AdSense. When active, Google may use cookies and other identifiers to serve advertising, personalised or not, depending on the consent given in the cookie banner. You can manage Google’s personalised advertising at adssettings.google.com. Legal basis: consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

d) Affiliate links

Some purchase links are affiliate links (see the Legal notice). When you click them, the destination shop may set its own cookies to attribute the sale; that processing is governed by the destination site’s privacy policy. Casei Dei receives no personal data about the buyer, only aggregate commission statistics.

e) Contact email

If you write to us, we will process your email address and any data in your message solely to handle your enquiry. Legal basis: consent and, where applicable, legitimate interest in replying.

f) Professional creamery data (directory)

The directory publishes professional identification and contact details of awarded creameries (name, town, corporate address, phone and email, social media), obtained from the competitions’ public lists and the producers’ own websites. Where such data relates to natural persons (e.g. sole traders), the legal basis is legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in offering an informational directory of the sector, the data being professional contact details already published by their sources (Art. 19 LOPDGDD). Pursuant to Art. 14 GDPR, this policy serves as information about that processing. Any creamery may request the update, rectification or erasure of its details by writing to hola(at)caseidei.com; requests are handled as a priority.

3. Cookie policy

4. Recipients and international transfers

Data may be processed by the following processors: our web hosting provider (whose servers may be located outside the European Economic Area) and Google (Analytics and AdSense), whose parent Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. International transfers are covered by the safeguards of Arts. 44 et seq. GDPR (adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses). No data is shared with other third parties except under legal obligation.

5. Retention

Server logs are kept for as long as technically necessary; analytics data according to GA4 settings (maximum 14 months of user-level retention); contact emails while the conversation and applicable liability periods last; directory data while the creamery appears in the index or until erasure is requested.

6. Your rights

You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability by writing to hola(at)caseidei.com, providing proof of identity. You may also withdraw consent at any time (without retroactive effect) and lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es) or your local supervisory authority.

7. Minors, security and changes

The Site is not directed at children under 14 and does not knowingly collect their data. Reasonable technical and organisational measures are applied (TLS encryption, updates, access control) to protect information. This policy may be updated; the current version is always the one published on this page with its date.
